Tattered Lace "Hearts and Roses" Card Tutorial

Here is another free tutorial on how to make this gorgeous Tattered Lace roses valentine's day card

"Hearts and Roses"

Skill level: Intermediate

Time: Allow 2 hrs so you don't rush

TIP: Gather all your supplies first, then sit down and craft..........

Supplies:

  • Card stock, Red (A)  white (B)  and green (C)
  • Scissors
  • Cutter/scorer
  • Double sided tape
  • Liquid glue
  • Spellbinders nestabilities Classic Hearts S4-136
  • Spellbinders nestabilities Heart Squares S4-343
  • Tattered lace Rambling Rose die cut
  • Creative Expressions Itty Bitty bows
  • Creative Expressions Filagree 3D bow
  • Couture creations embossing folder - Passion

Instructions:
  • Cut card (B) 11 3/4" x 5 7/8" (30cm x 15cm) and score at 5 7/8" (15cm) Fold. Set aside
TIP: Never work over your base card in case you drip glue etc.

  • Cut x1 Heart squares, largest size in card A. Emboss and adhere to base card. Keep all the little left over hearts to decorate and for other projects.
  • Cut x 1 Classic Heart size 3 in card B. Adhere to card ensuring it is centred.
  • Cut x 2 Tattered Lace roses 1 x red (A) 1 x green (C)

To make the roses:

  • Trim the filagree leaves from the roses cut in card A. This leaves 2 roses.
  • Using flower creating tool, on the reverse side in a circular motion shape each individual petal. Turn over to right side and shape into the centre.
  • Petals should stand up.
  • Adhere the roses to Card C creating dimensional roses.

Adhere filagree roses onto heart.

Cut filagree bow in white and block bow in red. Bend so the there isn't a crease and adhere to each other.
Adhere to card.

Use the left over hearts to decorate the card. I placed the remainder loosely inside the card and envelope, so that when the card is opened, it's falls like confetti.
