Envelope punch board mini cards and envelope sets. Free tutorial

I made these cute cards with mini envelopes as a thank you gift.
Instructions using the envelope punch board.

Finnished card :  3" x 3" sq
Envelope : 3 3/5" sq

Instructions

Materials required

  • Selection of patterned papers. (80g - 100g weight)
  • Plain card stock - co-ordinate with papers. (100g - 200g weight)
  • Envelope punch board  (Can be purchased from me via stamping' up)
  • Cutting/score board  (Can be purchased from me via stamping' up)
  • Selection of small dies, or punches to decorate the mini cards with
  • Glue of your choice. I used glue stick for this project.

Method

Envelope:

Cut patterned papers for envelope 13.3cm x 13.3cm using the cutting tool

Using the envelope punch board, on the left hand column select the size of the card (7.6cm x 7.6cm is equivalent to 3" x 3" card)

Place paper on the envelope board using the score line of 6.7cm, punch the blue punch button and then score.

Rotate clockwise and repeat.

Continue on all 4 sides. Showing score lines on reverse.

Turn envelope punch board around and insert the corner of the envelope squarely into the punch, and punch to give the nice rounded edge.

Repeat:

Using score tool, fold and press along the score lines

Glue as shown. I used a glue stick, you can use double sided tape. I don't use other glues as they can make the join 'bubble'

Fold over the top and the envelope is complete.

Card:

Cut card 6" x 3" on cutting tool, and slide along and score at 3".
Fold

Decorate using 'dies' or punches, or stickers. Whatever you have in your stash

Voi-la, a cute set of gift cards of any occasion.
